Dr. Schuessler graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa with a Doctorate in Chiropractic and a concurrent Bachelor of Science degree in General Science in 2000. Prior to studying at Palmer College of Chiropractic, he attended Penn State University. Dr. Schuessler worked in a group practice in Watkinsville, GA for a year before deciding he could offer more to his patients by having the freedom to practice in a thorough manner. On September 1, 2001 he opened the doors to Pro-Active Chiropractic to treat patients the way they should be treated. Since he began practicing chiropractic, Dr. Schuessler has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced chiropractic care.
Dr. Schuessler's training at Palmer has given him the skills to provide very effective, yet extremely gentle spinal and extremity correction. He spent many hours working with the clinic director and two chief residents in the Rehabilitation and Sports Injury Department outside the normal curriculum at Palmer to gain experience and learn as much as he could about how to diagnose and treat some of the toughest chiropractic patients. These patients were often those who had been to many other specialists before and just weren't getting the proper care they needed.
