Mrs. Schuessler graduated from Nicholls State University in Thibodeaux, LA with a degree in Business Administration and Finance in 2001. She later received certification as a personal trainer from NESTA. Mrs. Schuessler also received her license to practice massage therapy at the Soothing Arts School of Massage in Destin, Florida in 2004. Mrs. Schuessler's latest certification was received from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa as a certified Chiropractic Assistant.

Mrs. Schuessler maintains a very healthy lifestyle. She is an active long distance athlete, participating in local 5K and 10K events, as well as marathons, such as the Disney marathon in Orlando, Florida. She is a firm supporter for organic products and saving the environment.
